Development Fund

The AMA Development Fund is an unrestricted fund that allows the AMA Foundation to respond quickly to issues as they arise or provide support in areas of greatest need. In the aftermath of the Gulf Coast's devastating hurricanes, for example, this fund's inherent flexibility proved invaluable. When put to the test, the AMA Foundation was able to help serve the medical community in the affected area by making emergency grants available to physician practices damaged or disrupted by the storms' destruction.

In addition, the Student Research Forums and the Seed Grant Research Program are examples of programs that may be supported by this fund.
