HAP Awards

The Health Awareness Promotion (HAP) Awards were initiated in 1989 by the AMA Alliance to recognize excellence in the health promotion programs and projects of state and county Alliances and RPS/MSS groups throughout the nation. All state and county Alliances and RPS/MSS groups are encouraged to enter one program or project per category.

The HAP Awards are presented at the AMA Alliance Annual Meeting in June in Chicago. The AMA Alliance invites one person from each winning county to give a short presentation. Although the state and county or RPS/MSS chooses the person to accept the award, that person must be a current AMA Alliance member.

The deadline for the 2009-2010 HAP Awards is March 1, 2010. Entries must be submitted online or postmarked by that date and eligible projects must have been held and completed between March 1, 2009 and February 28, 2010.
