Bullying Public Service Announcement
As part of the Alliance's established coalition with the Arpa International Film Festival, together the two organizations will work to educate filmmakers in Los Angeles and from around the world on the impact that media violence has on children. The Film Festival has developed a program on the topics of violence in schools and health education among children, including the AMA Alliance PSA, "You Can Handle Bullies," featuring U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist, Lindsay Benko.
The Film Festival aims to promote the arts and raises money to provide grants to filmmakers who explore socially and culturally important topics. On Friday, Oct. 27, the Film Festival Awards Banquet, the AMA Alliance was recognized for its work in developing awareness of the impact of violence in the media and its development and promotion of the PSA campaign on "bullying" in schools.
