Membership Prestige Awards
Membership and the gaining of new members is integral to the success of the AMA Alliance. Each year the Alliance distributes ten awards to state and county Alliances based on the number of national memberships paid by March 31st.
Six Prestige Awards honor three state and three county Alliances that have been recognized as organized Alliances and have submitted their dues by the March 31st deadline for a minimum of two years (i.e. March 31st, 2007 and March 31st, 2008).
Awards will be given for the following categories:
State Alliance with the highest percentage increase with:
- 1 to 200 members
- 201 to 800 members
- 801 or more members
County Alliance with the highest percentage increase with:
- 1 to 75 members
- 76 to 150 members
- 151 or more members
Four Prestige Awards honor the state Alliances that show an increase in their Resident Physician Spouse and Medical Student Spouse memberships and submit their dues by the March 31st deadline.
Awards are determined on the following categories:
- Highest numeric increase in Resident Physician Spouses
- Highest percentage increase in Resident Physician Spouses
- Highest numeric increase in Medical Student Spouses
- Highest percentage increase in in Medical Student Spouses
Additional acknowledgments are mailed annually to state and county membership chairs for the following membership increases:
- State and county Alliances that show a five percent increase in membership
- State and county Alliances that show a ten percent increase in membership
- New county Alliances that are organized in 2007-2008 submitted their officer list and bylaws to national headquarters and show at least three paid national memberships
