Medical Families Summit
2010 Medical Families Summit
with the Leader's Conference of State and County Alliances
September 25-28, 2010
Chicago Marriott Hotel
This year's conference recognizes that members of the AMA Alliance are part of a medical family with unique interests and needs. As a result, the conference combines family programming, personal development and also offers leadership training and tools.
The summit is divided into two days (Saturday and Sunday) devoted to medical families (bring your spouse) and two days for leadership training (Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning). Children are welcome. A child care service will be available. Registration details will be posted to the AMA Alliance Website the first week in August.
Wayne Sotile, Ph.D., researcher, educator and author with wife Mary Sotile, MA, knows medical families well. He has studied them for more than three decades. Dr. Sotile is currently working on a survey with the Alliance and the American Medical Association to update data on medical family stresses and relationships that he conducted with Alliance members in 2001. He will discuss this survey and introduce preliminary findings in a special plenary session during the 2010 Medical Families Summit.
